Day 1

Arrival Portorosa
Start your journey with a warm welcome with snacks and local homemade wines in the glittering marina of Portorosa. Sleep on board that night and start your day with a yacht and charter briefing held by the lead crew.

Day 2

Portorosa - Volcano
Head to the alien island of Vulcano and drop anchor in a beautiful bay just south of the island. After this, you will continue sailing to Levente or Ponente Bay on Vulcano. After a day of exploration, unwind with delicious seafood and local wines in a restaurant near the harbor.

Day 3

Volcano - Stromboli
We leave the unique landscapes of Vulcano and stop for lunch on the beautiful and stylish island of Panarea. After lunch, enjoy a sailing trip to Stromboli Island, where you will have free time to explore. Discover the island's black sand beaches or spend the afternoon in the small village of Ginostra, where an interesting mix of Neapolitan and Sicilian sweet treats meet the rural Sicilian countryside.

Day 4

Stromboli - Salina
From Stromboli we sail to the small islet of Basiluzzo, the smallest of the eight Aeolian Islands, for a day stop with beautiful scenery. Later we sail to Salina, with its lush green mountains and fresh water springs, where we will end the day with dinner at a local restaurant, complete with wine tasting.

Day 5

Salina - Filicudi
After a lunch stop in Pollara, the next island on our itinerary is Filicudi, one of the most beautiful and least developed islands of the Aeolian archipelago. Characterized by beautiful blue caves and prehistoric villages, guests of the flotilla will visit a local sheep farm on the island and finish the day with an Italian buffet dinner in the marina prepared by the locals.

Day 6

Filicudi - Lipari
On our way to the largest Aeolian island of Lipari, we will anchor at the famous white pumice beach "spiaggia Bianca di pomici" before mooring at marina Lunga for the night. In the evening we will meet for a wine tasting and enjoy Sicilian delicacies in a traditional restaurant.

Day 7

Lipari - Portorosa
On our return journey to Portorosa, we will anchor off the southern end of Lipari to admire the island's towering cliffs and volcanic rock formations known as Faraglioni di Lipari. Then we sail on to Portorosa to enjoy our last farewell dinner together.

Day 8

Checking out
On Saturday everyone will disembark and say goodbye to all participants and new friends. After your last night on board, enjoy the morning at base and check out before 9am. With this flotilla sailing route you will experience the most beautiful parts of the west coast of Italy, something you will never forget!

Do I need a boat license to participate in a flotilla?

No, you do not necessarily need a license to sail in a flotilla. For example, you can also hire a skipper to do the sailing. Not everywhere in Italy it is mandatory to have a license I or II if you want to sail yourself. But landlords can ask for it. In most cases, a certificate (CV) with sailing experience is sufficient.

Where should I fly if I want to sail in this themed flotilla?

You can fly to the airports of Catania or Palermo. From here you can take a taxi to the port in Portorosa. Tubber can also help you arrange a transfer.
